Eco-Friendly Educational Toys

At Learning from Play we are proud that our products are not only fun and exciting, but also eco friendly and educational! We follow the Learning from Play Environmental Policy to ensure that our cardboard activities are as environmentally friendly as possible, from production to packaging! The results are simple: eco friendly educational toys for children!

Sourced from natural materials, Learning from Play eco friendly educational toys are made from partially recycled corrugated cardboard –including the packaging! This means that once you have used and reused your item, you can then fully recycle it. Although all of our cardboard models are fully recyclable, being eco friendly means we use as little material as possible, reducing the amount that’s left over! When it has been unavoidable to use larger sheets of card however, by practising what we preach and using our imaginations and creativity, we came up with accessories for some of the left over card. For instance The Large Puppet Theatre includes everything you need to play Pin the Tail on the Donkey! Some of our customers’ feedback has shown that you too could come up with your own ideas of things to do with the left over cardboard! You can cut it and bend it into all kinds of shapes, paint it and then use it to decorate your main cardboard activity! What ideas will you come up with to decorate your cardboard model?

At Learning from Play we love our eco friendly educational toys for children because it’s important to help the environment from an early age. Incorporating eco friendly products and recycling into children’s play is the best way to trigger their interest. Green sites for children suggest that involving children in arts and crafts using recycled and recyclable materials is a good way to recycle at home and gain children’s interest in doing so too!

Our eco friendly educational toys are a great platform to start learning about the environment and the importance of taking care of it! Complying with the themes of the Foundation Phase, our cardboard activities can also be used to teach about the environment at the same time due to their eco friendly nature. By actively experiencing types of recyclable materials – like our cardboard models – children are more likely to learn effectively, especially if they are having fun! Read about our Educational Theme Resources to learn more about incorporating Learning from Play cardboard activities into your child’s education.

Learning from Play eco friendly educational toys as well as being reusable and recyclable themselves, also encourage other forms of reusing and recycling too! When decorating your cardboard activities, there are plenty of natural and reusable materials you could use which will help reduce the amount of waste your household produces! From paper to plastic, cans to cloth and everything in between, as long as they are clean and not wanted anymore, get creative and decorate your cardboard models into a unique work of art! We encourage imagination, so go wild and see how well your would-be rubbish can transform your blank canvas of a space ship into the next space mission to travel the galaxy!
